More than 130 chess players are participating in the seventh edition of the ROC Nova College Tournament, organised by the Haarlem-based chess club HWP Haarlem. Favorites among the participants are five grandmasters and six international masters, of whom Dutch GM Erik van den Doel holds the highest FIDE rating (2583).
The first moves were played on Friday night. The first round saw no great surprises: all favourites won their games fairly easy.
On Saturday three rounds are scheduled and on Sunday the remaining two rounds are played.
On the Dutch website you will find reports of every round in Dutch; in the menu on the left you can find the results, pairings and standings.
